The music of singer/songwriter Mark Adams
Email This Post Category: Demos
5 Jun 2011Sometime in 2006, I recorded several demos using GarageBand. Most are raw, first takes. I simply wanted to record my ideas. I call them “Wake Robin #4″ demos, after the name of the cabin I recorded them in. Some of these were later recorded professionally on my debut album, The Lesser Brother (you can hear those here). The “Wake Robin” demos are less professionally recorded, and have a touch of hillbilly to them.
A Better Day
Amazing Grace (arrangement)
Note: I recorded a more developed version of this arrangement (press here).
By the Sea
Note: Rerecorded on The Lesser Brother (press here) and at Reed’s Recordings (press here). This the fourth song I wrote.
I Will Celebrate
Note: This is the first song I ever wrote.
If He Comes Tonight
John the Baptist
Our Father (The Lord's Prayer)
Peacemakers
Note: Rerecorded on The Lesser Brother (press here) and at Reed’s Recordings (press here). This is the third song I wrote.
Psalm 40
Note: This is the second song I ever wrote.
Reflections
Note: I wrote these lyrics in high school for a creative writing project.
The Sword is Swinging
Note: I’ve got newer ideas for this song.
Till He Comes Around
Note: Rerecorded at Reed’s Recordings (press here)
Highways Heading Home
Note: I rerecorded this just a short time ago. That recording can be found at my Wandering Poet site (press here)
I'll Press On
Note: I wrote this song while in the midst of writing “Highways Heading Home,” and usually perform “I’ll Press On” after “Highways” at my gigs. I rerecorded this a Reed’s Recordings (press here).
I still perform most of these songs. The only ones I haven’t performed are “A Better Day,” “Reflections” and “The Sword is Singing.”
You’re welcome to download this demo album here — right-click, and select “Save target/link as…”, though in most browsers simply clicking it will begin the download.
